HIGH RATE BIOGAS PLANT ON-WHEELS
(For Recycling of Mixed Organic Waste)

This multi-feed “Biogas Plant-on-Wheels” using bi-phasic principle of digestion was fabricated towards the end of 2017 and placed at an institutional farm, where there is a community kitchen and have a 20-acre farm which also generates other types of biomass wastes, as future possibility, at the outskirt of Delhi for field trial and testing during 2018. This Biogas Plant is initially using mixed organic kitchen wastes (both cooked and uncooked). One of the biggest advantages of this 100-kg/day mobile Biogas system is that it can be shifted to other places, if the need so arises.

In this mobile bi-phasic Biogas Plant of 100-kg organic waste/day), INSEDA incorporated appropriate modifications in the design to increase its efficiency, to operate at the reduced HRT of 20-days. The Biogas Plant -on-wheels is now providing regular gas to the institution’s kitchen where the food is prepared for 50-60 people. This Biogas Plant is being fed on the cooked and uncooked bio-degradable waste and working very well.
